This printable play set includes 10 big bold apples, each with a number printed on front and a curved dotted line near the top.
Use a craft knife to cut along the dotted line, and slip a worm through each apple. Demonstrate to small children and have them do it — or have them find the worms that are in the wrong apples!
There are two sets of worms:
— count the colored areas from one solid color to ten different colors
— count the lines on the worm, from 1 line to 10 lines (these worms are all green in color)
This can be used as an independent learning center activity or a one-on-one preschool counting activity. The two worm sets can be used on different days to extend play.
The big apple cards also look great as a wall display — and the worms can add a humorous touch. Re-use it later in the year for “book worm” or “early bird gets the worm” displays. 😀
